In the pursuit of the next best thing, we must always take time to enjoy the comfort of those truly authentic, original relics. And sometimes, the next best thing happens to be something old, like a favorite coat that wraps you in warmth, happiness and great memories.

A little mixed, I suppose. “Old” by modern standards and “Early Modern” by medieval standards. I’m reading “Old and New Nobility in Aix-En-Provence 1600—1695: Portrait of an Urban Elite”, and getting ready to post my blog;• )

Ahh, funny you should write this. Yesterday I ventured into an area of my town I rarely visit but used to work and live in about 10 years ago. As much as I love and need new scenery, there are smells and sounds attached to the ‘old’ places that invite good memories and feelings to come flooding back. Xoxo
